Confidential wine selection, small estates & old vintage
Château Valandraud 1998, from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, is a remarkable vintage, considered one of the estate's most successful.
The wine displays a deep garnet color and offers intense aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and plum, along with notes of spice, tobacco, and chocolate. On the palate, it is rich and powerful, with silky tannins and excellent structure.
The finish is long and persistent, with hints of vanilla and cedar. This vintage is at full maturity but can continue to age beautifully for several more years.
